Happy 2010!!!

Happy New Year! (in 1 hour and 15 minutes) Honk.

Jamesie

Any guess on what James had for a snack today???? If you guessed "blueberries" you would be correct. His fingers are still stained purple. Which begs the question...why aren't they called purpleberries? Moving on. James has been quite adorable today. And quite contemplative. I think he's teething. Molars maybe? We'll see. Our favorite part of the day is after dinner when we both spend some quality time with Jamesie. He is an absolute delight.

Brad & James

Remember this picture that I love so much of Baby Brad  and think looks so much like James.  Well, I tried to recreate it today with James.  I wasn't so successful in getting that calm, sweet, innocent look.  But cute anyways.

Lindsay & Zach (aka Bean)

Today James helped me get the house cleaned up for our guests tonight.  He was super helpful.   He was really enthralled with the duster. Enthralled and maybe just a little freaked out. But finally Lindsay and Zach came over for dinner.  And of course we love her.  She is precious and adorable.  And a perfect fit for Bean.  James got in a little time with Uncle Bean and Miss Lindsay before he went to bed.  He approves too! We look forward to more time with Lindsay in the future.  If she'll have us. Awww...what a cute couple!

Christmas 2009 Memories

Well...all the wrapping paper and boxes have finally all gotten cleaned up. My sister's leave tomorrow. And back to real life. That is always such a let down. So here are some of our Christmas memories. First thing Christmas morning we woke Jamesie up to open presents! Then he got all dressed to go to Nana and Papa's for Christmas at their house. Here he is loving on Nana and Papa... He finally got the hang of opening gifts! Lots and lots of gifts... (And yes...that is Puppy III. Puppy I is about to give out on us. II and III won't be far behind. And this was the last one The Secret Place had. These are some much-loved dogs.) Georgie didn't know what to make of all of the commotion. I think he just wanted to hide. My beautiful nieces, Morgan and Madison. They made each of us ladies a set of hand-painted cards. The most beautiful cards you've ever seen. These are mine. Madison drew and painted mine. She even created her monogram to put on th...

Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas from our little family to yours.

Christmas Eve

This picture just about sums up my son in one shot. Today we spent the day with my family. My sister and her family, Carrie, Andy, Morgan and Madison all got in late last night. We had a great day with them! Then this evening we went to Brad's parents house to have Christmas with them and Karin, JT, Addison and Lauren. And I just have to say that Addison looks most adorable today! A little Cindy Lou Whoish. I could have just eaten her up! James and Addi had a great time with their new gifts from Grandma and Grandpa. And James was just cute and cheerful and adorable...well...just because he always is. Then James got to meet his cousin Lauren Elizabeth for the first time. And of course he fell in love with her right away. And I think someone else may be getting baby fever. But that's neither here nor there. A few more gifts and then we had to call it a night. One last stop by Nana's to say goodnight to everyone... And George wasn't the only one tuckered out. Tomor...
