First Day of Kindergarten & Pre-School

Hooray we have started homeschool!!!! There was lots of anticipation and excitement for our first day of kindergarten and pre-school.  We started the day with gifts of new school supplies.  You can see that it's still dark outside...they were up early.  Very. Very. Early.   James' first day of Kindergarten!  I'm so proud of my big boy.  He's so smart and loving. His heart for the Lord is incredible for a 5 year old.  He has wisdom and insight far beyond his years. My precious Jude's first day of pre-school!  He has always wanted to be a "boo boo doctor" since before he could even talk.  He would carry around his doctor kit and wear his tiny little scrubs.  I believe that because of all he's been through, he really will be a doctor.  The Lord has given Jude a compassionate and protective heart.  I love that he's so quick to stand up for those he loves. And my little sweet Katy Jane's first day of pre-school.  She wants to be a mommy

Homeschooling

We are going to be using Timberdoodle for our curriculum. I have a new tab on the top right to chronicle our homeschooling journey as we go along.  I know there will be many changes to my plans, failures, course corrections, and hopefully a few successes along the way. And here is our "School room".  The kids refer to this as "the tiny library".  It is the closet in our school room where I have stored the books and school supplies.   This is our almost-complete mudroom locker.  They each have a cubby.  We just need to add their hooks. My desk. A sweet friend gave me this children's desk before we even decided to homeschool.  I am looking for a couple more.  We will probably end up doing most of our work at the table or kitchen counter but I would
