My Little Blossom

Just. Can't. Get. Enough. Girlie. Stuff.   I have waited over 13 years to unleash all of my girliness onto my daughter and finally she is here.  Her head may never see a day without a bow...or a gigantic flower as the case may be. The boys discovered that they really like the hat we received at the hospital from a sweet little granny who goes around handing out hand-made beanies and babies first bible.  Notice Katy Jane giving a little shout-out there in the background behind Jude.  Or maybe she's just mad because her brothers jacked her beanie. I'd be mad too.  It's awesome.

Happy 1 Week Katy Jane

One week has flown by!  What a joy this sweet little girl is...the answer to so many prayers for so many years. ~~~~~ A few weeks back we had baby dedication at church for Jude.  Brad had to work so my Daddy stood with Jude and I.  We got the picture today from the church. I cannot figure out what Jude's look says.  But he clearly did not get the memo to smile.  I guess he thought the photographer said, "Look confused, mystified, and stoned." Click! Christi and the boys left today.  But not before James and Jude got to have a ton of fun with them.  I ventured out of the house with Katy Jane all the way around the corner to my parents house.  Daring, I know.  Dad and I were sitting on the couch staring at Katy Jane when Brock came in the back door behind us and said, "There is a big lizard in the house and I am not kidding."  I casually turned and smiled at him and then turned back to Katy Jane.  He raised the intensity in his voice and said, "

Here She Is!!!

Our precious little Kathryn Jane is finally here and we are so in love!  She was born on June 21 at 9:45 pm.  She was 6 pounds and 11 ounces and 19 1/2  inches long.  More to come...

Still. Pregnant.

38 weeks and 1 day.  I can't believe she isn't here.  At my appointment yesterday my doctor estimated that she is about 6 1/2-7 pounds.  I am at a 4 and 90% effaced.  It should be any day now.  Maybe today! The last few days have been interesting.  Judie Bug woke up with a weird spot on his little belly one morning.  A few minutes later I noticed a red streak coming from it.  I called our nurse immediately and by the time I got ready and got to the doctor an hour later it had 3 streaks.  Very scary. Poor little guy.  If something weird is going to happen...it's going to happen to Jude.  The doctor also noticed a heart murmur while we were there.  Because I needed one more thing to worry about with this child.  Cancer, no speaking, and streaky spots aren't enough.  He got a shot of strong antibiotics as well as a topical and oral. Jude was flat out furious about getting a shot.  It made him do this. But once the shot kicked in late that night he was back to

Happy Father's Day

Happy Father's Day to the two best daddies I know!  I love you both so much!

Still Waiting...

I really cannot believe she isn't here yet.  I expected her days ago.  She is in no hurry...unlike her brothers.  They couldn't wait to get into this world and take it on.  She's happy where she is I guess.  Maybe this means she will be laid back...unlike the rest of her family.  So to pass the time while we wait for the little princess to make her grand entrance, we've been... Riding the horse at Wal-Mart Riding the truck at Wal-Mart Having picnics at the park (Jude was originally in this picture but decided to throw himself on the ground and launch an ear-piercing tantrum right as I took it.  Charming.) Planting shrubs I got this FABULOUS blanket from my sweet friend Kristi and a matching bib.  Love. We also had the carpets cleaned.  Exciting, I know.  But the funny thing about it was that Jude thought it was hilarious.  I really hope that my next post is to tell you that I've had Katy Jane...but I sort of doubt it.  The girl is in no
