Family Fun

We got to spend the day today with Nana, Papa, Carrie and Madison.  Such a treat!  Aunt Care Care and Nana working to get a smile out of Katy Jane.    My little strawberry shortcake. Sweet Madison reading to the boys.  From the looks of Jude it was a real page-turner. Blowing bubbles with Aunt Care Care. Jude loves his Nana! We went home briefly for naps for the two littles.  After naps the boys caught a quick episode of Micky Mouse Clubhouse before we headed back to Nana's.  Before we went over there, Jude insisted on being put in his pajamas.  Which he paired nicely with his boots.  Typical Judie Bug. I guess Katy Jane was exhausted from all the smiling and cooing she did all day.

Meet & Greet

Tonight was the "meet and greet" night for James' preschool.  We met his sweet teacher Michael and got to see his classroom.  Most importantly he got to check out all of his new supplies!  Look how fast those hands are moving to get to his new goodies.  He's a nerd like his Momma when it comes to school supplies.  Love em! See the wild-eyed joy!  I totally get it.  Set me loose in an Office Max and I am one happy gal. I know what he is thinking here..."Hmmm...markers!  Mom never lets me have markers.  What can I ruin with these?!?!!"   Let's hope the teacher bought the washable kind.  Let me remind you of a little incident that happened almost a year ago. His first official day of preschool will be next Tuesday.  He is so excited!  I am so not.  At least he is in class with the love of his life, Zintha, his cousin Addison and one of my friend's daughter, Lucie. My sister and one of my nieces came into town tonight.  We all were waiting to

I'm Such A Slacker

Time to play catch-up again.  First of all...James FINALLY had his last soccer game Saturday...and the other team didn't show up.  Presumably because they knew they would be defeated by the mighty green team.  Although no scores were ever kept, I'm sure we won every game. His trophy! When he got his medal he said, "I'm not crazy about this." He WAS crazy about his dino drink and skittles from Coach Jessica. Cousin Addi and James Both Grandma and I were telling him to smile for a picture at the same time which resulted in this weirdness. I thought James did sort of great at soccer but I think his strengths may just lie elsewhere.  We are going to give gymnastics a whirl.  He starts Wednesday and he is so excited.  All day he has been talking about "nastics".  The course description said that it teaches balance and coordination which the child is in desperate need of.  Saturday was my sweet Daddy's birthday but we waited and c

Buena Suerte!

James had two more soccer games this weekend.  I thought we were done after today's game but we have a make-up game next week.  It's the soccer season that will never end.   Thumbs up! I LOVE this picture so much because it is just typical Jamesie.  All sunshine and thumbs up! He's an awesome goalie! The coach was asking all the kids which way to kick the ball.  6 out of 7 ain't bad. The kiddo next to James (pointing the wrong way) always rubs James' blond hair.  Buena suerte! He needs it seeing as how he doesn't know which way the goal is. After the game James made some cookies with Nana. He loves to cook more than he loves soccer. Mom and Dad have had 5 teenage girls with them for the weekend...my nieces and 3 of their friends. Riley, Katy Jane, Morgan, Shayla, Katie Faith, and Madison Katy Jane got all dolled-up for visiting the girls today.  Her dress was Morgan and Madison's when they were little. Papa and his youngest gra
