Sweet Feet

Yesterday and today have been such beautiful days. James has enjoyed spending much of them outside. Yesterday he got to wear flip flops for the first time. He hated them at first. And I know why. His precious little feet are too fat to fit in them properly. Now aren't those the cutest little feet you've ever seen?!?! He was exhausted after dinner tonight. I put him down and he was sound asleep in a matter of minutes. When I checked on him with the monitor the fears of early motherhood crept back up on me. I was sure Puppy was suffocating him. Perhaps revenge for pulling his nose fluff out. I slipped into his room to check things out. Then I went for the camera. You know my sleeping baby addiction. Whew! Everything's ok! Just two sleepy boys from all the playing outside.

No He Didn't...

Yes...he did. I was putting away some laundry in our bedroom when I heard a very strange noise coming from the living room. I couldn't quite make out what that noise was. I had never heard it before. It was the sound that a box of Cheez-Its makes as it is being poured out onto the floor.

Jimnastics

James was invited to a birthday party on Saturday at the gymnastics center. I wasn't sure how he would do but he loved it. He stayed on this trampoline with the balls until he mastered it. Not sure what this crazy look is all about. This was the little birthday girl. James thought her tutu was pretty awesome. He also played with this thing. Whatever it was. And he loved the slide! In between play times, the kids had cake. James took some time to rehydrate as he waited. Then the cake came and the funny thing about this was that James has never actually wielded his own fork. I started to fear for the safety for the other children so daddy stepped in to help out a little. After a full belly and lots of playing...James slept 14 1/2 glorious hours last night. We are currently looking into a gymnastics program to enroll James in.

Busy Little Boy

Today I was on the phone with Wendy when I saw James start to do this. I didn't think he really would...But he did. Oh yes...he did. This counter top is 3 1/2 feet high...and as you can see, has lots of glasses hanging over it inches from his head. At this point I stopped taking pictures and removed him from the counter. Poor Wendy...I am sure she would love to have just one conversation with me where she doesn't have to listen to me screech in horror at what my son is doing. ~~~~~ Mom and Dad came over for dinner tonight. Mom's kitchen is completely unusable right now as it is in the middle of a remodel. Very exciting...but very difficult for someone who loves to cook. Papa gave James a cookie after dinner. But he made him work for it. He nearly got it! Yummy! Then James got Papa back by spitting part of it out on his pants. Sorry Dad! Later he showed Papa some of his toys. He's figured out that he won't get in trouble for getting out tissues if he acts lik

Peek-A-Boo

I was standing in the kitchen making cookies this afternoon when this little ray of sunshine popped up! He had climbed up on the ottoman so he could see what was going on. He makes my day. Silly boy. Then he kept me entertained by playing peek-a-boo.

A Coke & A Smile

Brad's one addiction, aside from me of course, is Coke. James likes to get them out and play with them. I swear the kid has real toys. I'd like to buy the world a home and furnish it with love, Grow apple trees and honey bees, and snow white turtle doves. I'd like to teach the world to sing in perfect harmony, I'd like to buy the world a Coke and keep it company. After playing with the Cokes, James decided to creatively display them throughout the house. It took me awhile to find them all. I think he has a real creative eye for product placement. P.S.-James is not actually allowed to drink the Cokes. Usually. P.S.S-Brad...in case I forget to tell you...you might want to let those Cokes sit for awhile before opening them. They've been substantially shaken.

Jamesie

Not much to say today except for that I have a really cute son. And a really goofy one too.

Saturday Night Sushi

Tonight we had a couples date night with several of our friends. It was great! We went to eat sushi and then were going to go to a movie. But since the restaurant was super uncooperative and slllllllloooooooooowwwwwwww, we missed the movie and decided to go bowling. And since I was soon to be barfing up the aforementioned dinner, I left Brad at the bowling alley with our friends and went to pick up James from Nana and Papa. Got James in bed, puked, and now I am hungry for more sushi. Only a pregnant woman. Sorry about all of that barfy talk. Part of life. But on another note...one of the couples that was with us tonight, Shayna and Eric, they are pregnant too and due the day before I am! How great is that! To my knowledge, she kept her food down though. Just in case you wondered.

Cousins, Collisions, & Cuddles

Thursday, my cousin Chelsea brought her fiance Eric to town so we could meet him. He is great and they are a perfect match. It makes me feel old that my baby cousin is getting married. I am old. After Chelsea and Eric left, James, Will, Grant and Brock were playing outside and James had an unfortunate run-in with the bottom of the see-saw swing 2 of the boys were playing on. It was very scary for all of us. It hit him right in the neck and knocked him over. Later he ate some blueberries. Creepy. Even James looked creeped out. Today we had lunch with some of our best friends-Miah, Amber, Madison & Sawyer...and Chris, Sarah & Charly. Miah and Chris are twins and have been Brad's best friends since 7th grade. James LOVES them. After lunch James had to get some immunizations. It was NOT fun. The nurse accidentally stuck him before she was ready to give the shot so she had to poke him twice for the first shot. On the second one she hit the muscle. By the third one

James' Best Day Ever

Ok, so today was James' dream day. He woke up, got to have a donut for breakfast, had 2 new friends come to play this morning, got to have Genny and Audrey-come over to play after nap time, then got to go to Nana & Papa's for dinner and his three boy cousins-Will, Grant & Brock-were there!!! What a great day! It'll be hard to top this one.

But He Had A Stuffy Nose

Jaimee and I have known each other for 20 years this year. That makes us feel oldish. But we're not. I swear. Here is a picture of us back in 1995. She is the one in the red dress. I am the one that looks like Jessie Spano from Saved By The Bell. (B-B-B-B-B-B-B...Go Bayside!) Jaimee looks exactly the same as she did back then...I look 5000 years older and 900 pounds heavier. We were best friends through middle school and high school. She came in town for spring break and came to see James and I this morning. She has two little boys of her own that are just precious. James enjoyed getting to meet some new friends. It looks like Toys R Us exploded in my living room. But it was lots of fun! ~~~~~ Yesterday morning I went in to get James out of bed and found these two mysterious fuzz balls in his crib. Kind of weird and gross. Did James cough up a hairball??? Did he get some cotton balls out of the bathroom???? What in the world??? Then I figured it out. He brutally dism
