Hoppy Easter

Happy Easter! This was James' 2nd Easter but his first one to really enjoy it. I read him the Easter story of how Jesus died for our sins and then rose from the grave three days later...and because of all that Jesus did for us...we get to live forever in Heaven with Him.
We gave James his Easter basket at breakfast. He and Puppy were pretty pumped.
James looked handsome in his Easter clothes.
We went to church with Mom and Dad and then went to their house for lunch and the Easter egg hunt. But first, he got his Easter sussies from Nana and Papa!
As you can imagine, he was way excited about his new Baby Einstein video.
Cute Easter bunny, huh?Brad and Dad hid the Easter eggs.

Things got off to a good start with a little help...ok...a lot of help from Papa.
But things came to a major halt when he found a BIG egg.
It had fruit snacks in it and required an immediate break in the hunting.
Daddy helped some too.
He had to look really hard for some of the eggs. That crazy Easter Bunny hid them good.
George wondered where his eggs were.
James relaxed a little with Mommy before dessert. Again with more fruit snacks.
Then he enjoyed swinging with Nana and Mom.Mark 16:1-6 When the Sabbath was over, Mary Magdalene, Mary the mother of James, and Salome bought spices so that they might go to anoint Jesus' body. Very early on the first day of the week, just after sunrise, they were on their way to the tomb and they asked each other, "Who will roll the stone away from the entrance of the tomb?"But when they looked up, they saw that the stone, which was very large, had been rolled away. As they entered the tomb, they saw a young man dressed in a white robe sitting on the right side, and they were alarmed. "Don't be alarmed," he said. "You are looking for Jesus the Nazarene, who was crucified. He has risen! He is not here. See the place where they laid him."
