September is Childhood Cancer Awareness month. Evey year over 10,000 children are diagnosed with cancer and last year my Judie Bug was one of those 10,000. We are preparing to head to his oncologist in Dallas next week for all of his tests and scans. I am not looking forward to it for him. He is older and will be more aware of what is going on this time around. Among all of the tests he will have, one of them is a bone marrow biopsy. Although he has had several others tests, this will be the first time we've retested his bone marrow since his diagnosis. Our prayer is that there are NO cancer cells in his bone marrow. We also pray that all of his other tests will come back clear.
Jude's 2nd birthday is on Sunday and we will leave on Monday to go to his oncologist...not a fun way to celebrate your birthday. I am choosing to remind myself of the Lord's great goodness to us over the past 18 months since Jude's diagnosis. Jude is precious. He is strong, and loud, and joyful, and funny. He is so full of love for his big brother and little sister. I love everything about my little Jude.
Please pray with us for clear results and good news!
And He took the children in His arms, put His hands on them and blessed them. Mark 10:16
