Sunday after church Katy Jane posed with her Papa for a picture.
The poor baby has had so many pictures taken of her. I think I have documented every expression she has.
Sleeping...
Awake...
Smirking...
Bright-eyed...
Tuesday before school James wanted me to take his picture with his lunch box. Weird but whatever. Jude scrambled around looking for something to pose with too, grabbed a box of wipes, and jumped in the picture.
Today Brad and I took the kids to the Panhandle Plains Museum in Canyon. To be honest, we were expecting a lot more but I think the boys sort of enjoyed parts of it. Ok...mainly only the one dinosaur skeleton. But Brad and I almost thought the Pioneer Town exhibit was neat. Well, maybe we would have if Katy Jane hadn't been screaming the entire time we were in it.
Here it is...the one dinosaur. An allosaurus.
And to be fair...James was pretty pumped about the dino puzzles.
Jude finally broke free from his stroller and wanted a picture with the allosaurus.
You see how Jamesies tiny hiney is perched on that little wall??? Yeh...it set off an alarm that sent all of us running like we had just been caught trying to swipe the car. The alarm was very scary sounding. Brad said he thought it was a wild monkey. He was serious.
This is right after Jude did something destructive to the old stove in Pioneer Town and through gritted teeth I said, "SMILE QUICK BEFORE WE GET KICKED OUT!!!!" Fear-induced forced smiles are always the worst.
The museum was more fun than Jude knew what to do with and he fell asleep on the way home. His annoying older brother kept trying to wake him up...notice the "spider hand" as we call it. Jude covered his face with The Shy Little Kitten book to try to make his brother go away. I know the feeling.

Ok...so the Canyon museum wasn't exactly our cup of tea but if you have never ever ever been to the Panhandle, definitely check it out because it is chock-full of all of the information you would not know if you had not grown up here. And there is the one dinosaur.
