Ugh

Yesterday and today have been difficult days physically.  I will have contractions for an hour or 2 and then they will stop only to start up again a little later.  But it leaves me feeling exhausted and sort of cranky.  I've been a ton of fun to be around lately.  Poor Brad.  I just keep reminding myself that it will all be worth it and soon I will be back to normal.  A new normal, but normal. Anyways, my sweet little boys keep me as preoccupied as I can be in between contractions.   Last night, Karin, JT, Addi and Lo Lo came over and brought Katy Jane 2 pink cars!  Jude thought it was for him.  I love how his long ol legs are hanging out the back.  I am so curious to see how Judie Bug is going to react to Katy Jane.  I know James is already in love with her.  Jude is the same age that James was when he was born and James did not take to Jude too well right at first.  I am hoping it will be different with the mid...

I Want Candy

Ugh.  I hate Halloween.  I really do.  But it is always such a struggle because the boys look so cute dressed up...and who doesn't want candy???  Maybe we will cross this moral bridge with the boys next year.  I don't know. So James was Spiderman.  I got him ready first this morning and he spent some time chilling in bed getting ready for his day of super hero duties. Jude was a frog.  He was given a frog by our sweet hospital girls last week and is in love with it so it was only appropriate that he be dressed as one.  He loved his costume! Last year Jude was a pumpkin and James was a turtle.  I can't believe how they've grown!   Anyways...last week during Jude's scans the girls told me that they were all going to be dressed as the princesses and villains from the Disney movies and I really couldn't resist seeing them.  We love these girls so much and they love my boys.  So we got ready and went up to see them in all of t...

Cathching Up

I've been such a slacker on the blogging lately.  We've had a lot going on.  But the boys are doing well.  They are finally over their runny nose/allergy thing. James had a fun day with Nana and Papa last week.  They took him to the Discovery Center and got him a really long sticky sucker that he LOVED. I made him put it down for the night.  When he asked for it a couple of days later I told him that the sucker fairy came during the middle of the night and ate it.  He hates the sucker fairy. Yesterday we had a group birthday party for Karin, JT, Jude and James over at Brad's parents.  James and Addi waited patiently for the cake. All of the kids waited while Grandpa lit the candles. Then they all four blew out the candles.  Well...they all four tried.  I ended up blowing them out.  One cake should only have to endure so much kid spit. They dug in! Then the inevitable sugar coma hit them all at the same time. James LOVES all thing...

Cousins And Books

Today the boys and I got to spend the day with Karin, Addi, and Lauren.  Eating chocolate cake Sweet little Addi Apparently they thought I said, "give me your serious look" instead of "say cheese!" All four playing together Watching Toy Story and eating toot-a-loots I love when Jamesie gets to spend time with any of his cousins.  What a precious bond. ~~~~~ I am not a big reader.  I mean, I don't often curl up with a good book or anything like that.  I just don't make the time to.  Maybe because I read so many jillions of books a day to the boys that when it comes to my own down-time, reading isn't at the top of my list.  But I have heard SO much about this book lately that I had to get it and I plan on starting it tonight.  Heaven  Is For Real by Todd Burpo.  My precious friend Erin was the latest person to recommend it and that is why I got it.  She and I have so much in common.  She is such a sweet blessing to ...

What A Friend We Have In Jesus

This morning Jamesie came bounding into my room at 6:00 am. Thankfully he was content with watching cartoons until I could make myself get up. But such an early morning demanded a mandatory nap time for everyone in the house...mainly me. James spent several minutes trying to kick his way out of his bedroom but finally fell asleep. (We put one of those door knob things on the inside so he can't sneak out). When I woke up I looked on the monitor to see him and he wasn't in his bed. I went down the hall and looked under the door. Not there. I started to freak out. I went in his room and nothing. No Jamesie. Not behind the door. Not in the bed. Not under the bed. Not in either closet. Nowhere! To be honest...I was in a panic. I flung back the curtains to check the windows...and... ...there he was! And then I gave him a sucker because I was really glad he didn't jump out of the windows. And then some Pringles and an apple because I was glad he hadn...
