8 Days, 2 Hours, 48 Minutes, & 30 Seconds

We did a little family shopping tonight and then met our good friends Chris and Sarah for dinner.  I crave Mexican food 7 days a week...even when I'm not pregnant.  So tonight we met up at my favorite Mexican food restaurant.  Yum. James and Charly have been good friends since forever.  So cute. Aren't they a cute little couple!  And Jude and Ethan, their youngest, are shaping up to be good buds as well...but I don't have a picture of them. Brad and I are finishing up our shopping tomorrow then all I will have left to do for Christmas is cook and wrap.  I love that part!

Moving Day 5

So what happened to day 2, 3, and 4? A lot. Here is the stack of boxes before Brad moved them Thursday night. James had a lot of fun playing in the new house while it was still empty. He especially loved playing in the packing paper. You gotta love a kid who can make a game out of anything. Friday, we had part of the kitchen cabinet taken out and cut down to make it fit the new stove. So here's the deal...I hate moving and I hate construction but I love my new house and my new stove, so I'm not complaining. Brad got all of the boxes and not-massive-furniture moved to the new house. He also moved all the stuff from storage except for 3 big things. Saturday morning Brad had to work. Mom and I worked at the new house and James helped (i.e. got in the way). Brad had asked Chris and Miah to help him after he got off work on Saturday and they actually showed up early and had most of the big furniture loaded up before Brad even got home. Those are some good friends to move you...

What A Great Weekend!

We had a wonderful weekend! We spent the day Saturday with Mom and Dad and then had a cook-out with some of our best friends that night over at Chris and Sarah's. Madi is like the big sister to all the kids. She's awesome! James had a great time in the pool! All of the kids were so cute and had a great time together. And all the mommies and daddies did too.

Half-Way

We are half-way there!!! 20 more weeks! Yahoo! And only 2 more weeks until we find out the gender...which will be boy. I feel sure. Tonight we went over to our friends, Miah and Amber's. Chris and Sarah were there as well as Miah and Chris' dad from Oregon. I haven't seen him since our wedding so it was WONDERFUL to catch up. They are all like family to us. We love them. Madi is an expert hoola-hooper. James was clearly in awe. Sawyer Kate can hold her bottle with her tootsies. Charly, James and Madi. Jamesie loves these girls! James getting some love off of Madi. Madi showed Brad how to play a computer game. Brad, Chris, Mr. Heath, and Miah. Brad grew up with these guys...they have been there for Brad through thick and thin. Proverbs 17:17~"A friend loves at all times..."

Cousins, Collisions, & Cuddles

Thursday, my cousin Chelsea brought her fiance Eric to town so we could meet him. He is great and they are a perfect match. It makes me feel old that my baby cousin is getting married. I am old. After Chelsea and Eric left, James, Will, Grant and Brock were playing outside and James had an unfortunate run-in with the bottom of the see-saw swing 2 of the boys were playing on. It was very scary for all of us. It hit him right in the neck and knocked him over. Later he ate some blueberries. Creepy. Even James looked creeped out. Today we had lunch with some of our best friends-Miah, Amber, Madison & Sawyer...and Chris, Sarah & Charly. Miah and Chris are twins and have been Brad's best friends since 7th grade. James LOVES them. After lunch James had to get some immunizations. It was NOT fun. The nurse accidentally stuck him before she was ready to give the shot so she had to poke him twice for the first shot. On the second one she hit the muscle. By the third one ...

Friends and Fire

Brad and I had some friends over tonight for a cook-out. It was super-fun. We have some great friends. Chris and Sarah brought their ADORABLE little girl, Charly. She is 1 but I have claimed her for my future daughter-in-law. She has the best personality. I've never seen the little darling not smiling. Let me tell you...whatever it is that Chris and Sarah are doing...I need to copy it...because they are doing it right. Chris, his twin brother Miah, and Brad have been friends for years and years. Mark and Melinda also came. They are so funny and sweet. I just love being around them! They are both super-sporty like Brad. Melinda has had 4 children and has the body of an 18 year old cheerleader...I want to hate her for that but she is just so darn nice and likable. Seriously...it's not fair for someone to look that good period...much less with 4 KIDS ! She and Mark just make me cheerful when I'm around them. They are so fun. T-Berry was also here tonight. I will have to check...
