That's Weird

Today I got my cousin's wedding invitation in the mail and was so excited to see that they have a wedding website. I ran right to the computer to look it up and got totally caught up in reading their story that I forgot that I have a very busy, climby 18 month old. When I remembered this is how I found him. He and Puppy were busy sorting napkins on the table. When will I ever learn? ~~~~~ I was reading one of my friend's blogs today and saw a cute little add-on thingy on her page. So I stole her idea and put it on mine too. Now you can know just how long until baby #2 makes his or her appearance with that little scary baby looking thing over to the right. Can't wait till it looks more human-like and less martian-like. 183 days seems really far away. ~~~~~ For Easter James got a Mr. Potato Head in his Easter basket. It totally freaks him out which is completely reasonable. I get it. And just a side note here...does anyone else find it extremely odd and just a bit di...

Hoppy Easter

Happy Easter! This was James' 2nd Easter but his first one to really enjoy it. I read him the Easter story of how Jesus died for our sins and then rose from the grave three days later...and because of all that Jesus did for us...we get to live forever in Heaven with Him. We gave James his Easter basket at breakfast. He and Puppy were pretty pumped. James looked handsome in his Easter clothes. We went to church with Mom and Dad and then went to their house for lunch and the Easter egg hunt. But first, he got his Easter sussies from Nana and Papa! As you can imagine, he was way excited about his new Baby Einstein video. Cute Easter bunny, huh? Brad and Dad hid the Easter eggs. Things got off to a good start with a little help...ok...a lot of help from Papa. But things came to a major halt when he found a BIG egg. It had fruit snacks in it and required an immediate break in the hunting. Daddy helped some too. He had to look really hard for some of the eggs. That crazy Easter Bunn...

Easter Eve

James' love of wearing shoes continues. I made sure he knew that mommy does not approve of socks (or footed jammies) and sandals. Ever. Today was a lovely day. Brad made James and I pancakes for breakfast. Then we spent the rest of the day having fun together. James loves having Brad home all day. They watched some Baby Einstein together. He pointed out the really funny parts to his Daddy. Oh man does Bard the Dragon, aka BLLLLLLAAAAAAAHHHHHH, ever crack him up! James yells "Bllllaaaahhhh" right along with Bard every time. All the fun with Daddy today left Jamesie pretty sleepy. Nothing like a good Puppy tail to suck on while relaxing.

What A Way To Start The Day

James has many "favorites". But somewhere very near the top of the list are: Audrey, Puppy and Baby Einstein. This morning he got to enjoy all three at once. You can see how happy he is. Audrey is still skeptical. He can hardly contain himself. Baby Einstein is riveting! Totally relaxed!

Sweet Feet

Yesterday and today have been such beautiful days. James has enjoyed spending much of them outside. Yesterday he got to wear flip flops for the first time. He hated them at first. And I know why. His precious little feet are too fat to fit in them properly. Now aren't those the cutest little feet you've ever seen?!?! He was exhausted after dinner tonight. I put him down and he was sound asleep in a matter of minutes. When I checked on him with the monitor the fears of early motherhood crept back up on me. I was sure Puppy was suffocating him. Perhaps revenge for pulling his nose fluff out. I slipped into his room to check things out. Then I went for the camera. You know my sleeping baby addiction. Whew! Everything's ok! Just two sleepy boys from all the playing outside.

No He Didn't...

Yes...he did. I was putting away some laundry in our bedroom when I heard a very strange noise coming from the living room. I couldn't quite make out what that noise was. I had never heard it before. It was the sound that a box of Cheez-Its makes as it is being poured out onto the floor.
