3 Puppies

When we found out we were having a boy when I was pregnant with James, Brad went and got him his blue puppy.  James was in love with it.  He has literally loved 5 or 6 of them to death.  We have had to buy several replacements. When we found out we were having another boy with Jude, Brad went and got him a brown puppy. Today he got Katy Jane a pink puppy.  So cute!  James got a new red hat today so he could be just like Daddy.  I think he looks super handsome. And little Judie Bug always looks handsome no matter what he's wearing.  Even in cowboy boots and a pajama top.

Big Puppy

It seems as if James was lacking in Puppies.  Because he came home from his outing with Nana with the biggest Puppy I've ever seen. That would make our Puppy total up to 6.  Six blue Puppies.  But I think the newest one...now known as "Big Puppy"....makes up about 5. *In case you might have missed the other 22,000 posts about James and his Puppy...Brad got the original Puppy for James when he found out we were having a boy.  James never went anywhere without it.  He would chew on his nose and/or tail when he was teething.  He loved the stuffing out of it...literally.  So we started buying back-ups for when the original wore out.  Family would get them for him for birthdays or Christmas.  Now we have a full litter.

Summer Fun

Tomorrow is the Relay .  I have mixed emotions about it.  Excitement, sadness, anxiety, pride.  I'm very proud of our team.  We held the first place spot for several weeks and were only beat out by Valero this week....and only by $80 (last time I checked).  I'm proud of us.  For a small team and it being our first year...we held our own and are only second place to a big company!  Pretty good.  But it's not over till it's over.  If you would like to donate, click here .  We will also be selling some baked goods at the Relay and can still raise money up until the end.   The boys and I went over to Mom's this morning.  They got in a little time with Aunt Christi and Nana while waiting for Brock and Grant to get back from their other grandparents house. Just... A... Swingin' Jude too Nana's boy Examining his roly poly Snuggling with Aunt Christi Finally the boys got back.  James lights up as soon a...

Recovery Day 2

The boys both seemed to feel a little bit better today...not 100% yet...but definitely getting there.  At least I haven't been puked on in 24 hours!  That's definitely progress. James built the world's most fabulous megablock tower. (With a tiny bit of help from Daddy). Later I had to wake him up from his nap...that he took on the floor...again.  Why James, why???  And it totally freaks him out when I wake him up by taking a picture of him.  Can't imagine why. Then tonight he, Puppy, Puppy, and Scout snuggled down with us.

Mc D-O-N-A-L-D-S

Today was BSF day and it was GREAT!  Last week James had problems with "quiet time" and being still and quiet.  I promised his teacher we would work on it this week.  And work on it we did.  This morning I dropped him off at his class and told him that I would ask Mrs. Sara how he did and if he did well I would get him a happy meal.  I'm not above bribing my 2 year old. When I picked him up I asked Mrs. Sara how he did during quiet time and she was happy to report that he AND Puppy were both still and quiet and stayed on their blankie!!!  A bee-line was made to the nearest Mickeydees.  As I was ordering James was in the back seat yelling..."AND A SPRITE!  AND A SPRITE!"  He had to make sure I got the order right.

It's A Beautiful Day In The Neighborhood

We got to hang out with Nana and Papa on this beautiful day!  James and Papa swung Puppy. Jude loved being outside.   And James loves his beautiful Nana-Pie! After all of that playing outside...Jamesie needed a little rest with his Papa.  ~~~~~ Daily...several times a day...James talks about his cousin Brock.  When he wears any of his cousin's hand-me-downs, he exclaims, "BWOKIES!"...plays with any of their toys..."It's BWOKIES!"...eats off the Spider Man plates they gave him..."Bwokie's Spicer Mans"... So you can only imagine his utter loss of control when he found out he was going to get to see his cousins today.  Oh. My. Gosh.  Much little boy fun was had in the back yard. And Jude did much snuggling in Aunt Christi's arms.

Busy Day

Today was a busy day around here. We got a lot accomplished. James spent a lot of time with Nana which wore him and his three puppies out. They had a good nap. He is LOVING having his Daddy home! So am I!!! Tonight Raine came over and played Santa. Jamesie loves his new jammies! And he loves Raine. We also had Bean over tonight! I got to see the wonderful pictures from his engagement to sweet Lindsay. He and Brad got to have a man-date. I can't imagine why they would need time away from me and the babies but whatev. I don't hold a grudge.

I'm Too Sick To Think Of A Good Title For This Post

I hate being sick. Mommies should get a free pass for not getting sick ever. I feel like I swallowed a box of thumbtacks followed by an acid chaser. And I feel like someone beat me on the head with a bat. The good news is that I have an amazingly awesome husband who has let me stay in bed all day while he has taken care of me and the boys. He even brought me up some lunch on a tray and everything! He's the best! It's hard not to go downstairs when I hear things banging around and know something is probably going on that wouldn't be going on if I was down there...but I keep reminding myself that Brad is entirely capable of handling things. And the fact that I am extremely fuzzy-headed and high on cold medicine means I should stay off the stairs...and probably the computer. Brad and James gave Jude a bath. And then dressed him. Then James decided that he and the Puppies needed to keep me company for awhile. I agreed! It's lonely up here by myself all day. It's...

Love And Lights

FIRST and most importantly... BEAN AND LINDSAY GOT ENGAGED TONIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! CONGRATULATIONS and we love you both so much! I am so excited I can hardly stand it. And can you even believe I've kept a secret this long???????? I sure can't. Whew! I am so happy for these two. You know I think Bean is just the greatest thing in the whole wide world...and Lindsay is his perfect match! What a wonderful life they have ahead of them. Now to break the news to James . This isn't going to be easy. Speaking of James. Poor little guy still isn't feeling better. His temp was up to 102.5 this morning. Hopefully he will get better soon. I miss his sparkle. And so does Jude. This morning while I was getting ready, I looked over and this is what he was doing. Putting on my make-up. Silly boy. Since I go CRAZY if kept inside for too long, we decided to get the boys out and go look at Christmas lights. Even though it was a balmy 60 degrees outside. We stopped off to...
