An Adventure

Mom and Dad took James to Lubbock with them to see Dee Dee and Donna today.  Oh boy did he have a big adventure!  They stopped half-way for lunch.  Guess where? Clearly James does not share my deep-seated fear of clowns. Lots of fun was had on the road.  Sweet Nana sat in the back with James and kept him entertained. Or maybe he kept Nana entertained. Then James got to visit with his great grandmother, Dee Dee. Next Nana took him down to the park near Dee Dee's house. James had such a wonderful, fun day.  I am so grateful that he has such a wonderful Nana and Papa who love him so much and love to spend time with him and Jude.  We are blessed indeed!

Where's My Halo

Dee Dee has these two little angels on her coffee table that light up. James was fascinated by them. After staring that them for awhile he looked at me and said, "It's Mommy". Yep...the brainwashing is working. Later he said the other angel was Nana. Now that is the truth! She is an angel! Dee Dee isn't feeling so well these days. Please pray with me that her strength and health will return. I miss her spunk.

For All That Her Hands Have Done

This is Dee Dee, my grandmother. The oldest and the youngest of our family. Proverbs 31:31-Honor her for all that her hands have done, and let her works bring her praise at the city gate.

Giving Thanks

I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving. I sure did. I have so much to be thankful for. First of all I am most thankful for my salvation and the Lord's forgiveness. I am thankful for my wonderful husband and precious boys. I am thankful for every member of my sweet family and the blessing of being all together today. Today was Uncle Andy's first time to meet Jude. They hit it off right away. Aunt Care Care and Jamesie. (She's a knockout, huh?) My beautiful nieces, Morgan and Madison with James and Jude. Aunt Care Care and Uncle Andy with James and Jude. While we were waiting for my other sister and her family to get into town, Carrie hijacked Mom's phone and texted Christi really snotty things...like the fact that I am Mom and Dad's favorite...or something like that. She got in big trouble...just like when we were little. Some things never change. She did NOT get a smiley face by her name today. Mom should have made her put her nose in the corner. Gosh...I...

Happy Birthday Dee Dee And Grant!

Today is my grandmother, Dee Dee's 92nd birthday and my nephew, Grant's 8th birthday. ( I think I have those ages right. If not, sorry). So... HAPPY BIRTHDAY DEE DEE!!!!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY GRANT!!!! I love you both!

Cousins, Cupcakes & Car Washes

Today Mom, James and I went to Lubbock to meet my sister and bring home her three boys for a visit. While we were there, we went to see my Uncle Gerald. James thought about warming up to Uncle Gerald but then he changed his mind. After our visit, this pregnant girl needed some nourishment. And I got these glorious little beauties! I ate two of them while parked under a tree for shade...the red velvet and the birthday cake. My Mom seemed somewhat astonished and maybe a little bit afraid that I annihilated two cupcakes in one sitting without even coming up for air. But to be fair...that red velvet was kinda on the tiny side. In my opinion. So after my cupcake feeding frenzy, we went to Dee Dee's to meet Christi and the boys. James was THRILLED to see his aunt and cousins. He has so much fun with them. And Brock, Christi's youngest, took this picture for us. Before we left for Lubbock, we drove through the car wash. James hates going to the car wash. I can relate to this f...

A Visit To Dee Dee's

Here is an update on my baby birdies. They are growing almost as fast as Jamesie is. I particularly love the little grumpy one in the bottom left corner. ~~~~~ Yesterday, Mom, Dad, James and I went to go visit my sweet little grandmother, Dee Dee and Aunt Donna. James is at that stage where he mostly just likes to be in familiar surroundings with familiar people. So he hung pretty close to his Nana for awhile. And by "pretty close" I mean...glued to her side. He finally got his nerve up to go check out some of the interesting tchotchkies around Dee Dee's house. I remember being fascinated by these same things when I was little. He even tried to get the kitty to play with him...but she kept her distance. I can't believe I didn't get a picture of Dee Dee yesterday! But here are some from a visit we had with her a little over a year ago. Dee Dee hasn't changed a bit but Jamesie sure has.
