This was a great weekend! It was so nice to have my sister and nieces in town. Brad and I LOVE to have our family around. Me and my sweet Daddy. Me and my sweet Hubby. We had some friends over this afternoon to meet Jude and had a great visit with them. Tonight my good friend Bill came over and we all went to dinner. He recently moved back to Nashville and I haven't seen him for a long time. It was great to catch up... ...Great until James snorted his Sprite up his nose through his straw at dinner. Bill, never one to ooze compassion, laughed at the poor baby. Amazing that the man is still single.

James and I finally got Brad back! He got in really really early in the morning so James didn't see him until he woke up. Brad was still asleep when James woke up so I brought him in to see him. He squealed with delight when he saw his Daddy and crawled across the bed to him and hugged him for the longest time. What a way to wake up! Brad got James a little buffalo as a sussie. He loved it. Mostly he loved having his Daddy back. Then he trapped himself and Puppy under the highchair. ~~~~~ James is going through a strange little phase where he loves to have his shoes on. Even over his pj's. Whatever makes him happy. I don't ask questions. ~~~~~ As always, we went to Mom and Dad's for lunch today. Jamesie took a turn for the worse. He had started feeling really crummy yesterday but was just pitiful by this afternoon. All he wanted to do was snuggle with his Papa. So we will take another trip to the doctor tomorrow to see what is going on with this little guy. ...

James is 9 months old today! My, how 1 month can make such a difference. In this last month he has started crawling, cut his first 2 teeth, started pulling up, started saying "Da Da and Ma Ma", and started drinking from a sippy cup. He's been very busy this month. He makes us laugh all the time with his new noises and facial expressions. What a delight this little man is! ~~~~~ Today my friend Bill called and invited the 3 of us to dinner...actually the way he phrased it was, "Do you, Brad and that kid want to go to dinner tonight?" Such a charmer. It's always stumped me why some woman hasn't just snapped him right up. It's a real mystery. All joking aside, we love Bill. He and I worked together. We've kept in touch but this was the first time for him to see James. In his oh-so-subtle way he told me I needed to "cut the kid's hair" and "get the kid out in the sun".
