So when you go three or four months without posting anything you have a ton of pictures to post and catch up on. Maybe I'll do better about staying up-to-date after this. Ha. Here are the highlights from the past few months.
MARCH
Jude started playing basketball in March. He was so excited about it! And he hated it. And he was not good at it either. He would be great at it at home, but once he got there, the crowd and the noise would overwhelm him and he would not want to participate. It was super awesome. It made for a fun several weeks. I may or may not have told him he would never ever be allowed to play any sports again ever. Bless his sweet heart.
All he really cared about was getting this plastic trophy. It probably cost about $0.03 from oriental trading but dadgumit we got it and he is proud of it! I'd like to say he worked hard for it and earned it...but he didn't. But he sure looked cute in his uniform. That counts for something, right?
Jude discovered "man hair" on his armpit. I think not.
These babies were ready for some warm weather!
My beautiful girl!
APRIL
In April I took Jude to his appointment with his oncologist in Dallas at Children's Medical Center. He did well, as always. That boys is such a trooper when it comes to medical stuff. What a champ!
And I never mind a little one-on-one time with my boy when we are there.
We stayed with my sissy Carrie while we were there. This is her beautiful church.
Her kitty had just had kittens the day before we got there. Oh my word. There is nothing cuter! They were the size of a twinkie. Jude fell in love with cats. This is a problem since everyone in our family is allergic. We are trying to work around it. He REALLY wants a "mow mow".
The chickies at Aunt Care Care's. Jude was in heaven with all the baby animals.
Once back at home the kiddos were so happy to be back together.
This craziness happened. Three kids...three tiny carts...the grocery store was never the same. What was I thinking????
Jude and his sweet Nana.
Katy and her clever hiding spot. I bet no one ever found her there!
Another good one! Man, she's good!
Katy Jane gardening and Nana and Papa's.
We bought a used piano and James started taking lessons. He loves it and I love hearing him practice! I hope all three of our children love to play the piano...or some instrument.
James and his sweet teacher, Ms. Gayla.
MAY
James LOVES to garden and grow things. He inherited his Daddy's green thumb. The kid can grow anything. He is an excellent gardener. He gathered some maple seeds and planted them and now has several successful little maple trees started. All three kids actually are pretty good at growing things. I am only good at watering them. Beyond that, I mostly just kill them. But I love to look at them! I love that all my people are wonderful gardeners because I sure do love flowers!
My sweet boys with me in my 4 year old sunday school room.
Mother's day in Lubbock with my grandmother Dee Dee.
Mom and the kids and Dee Dee's.
Dee Dee and Katy Jane.
My precious Mommy, my kids and I on Mother's Day. What an amazing blessing she is to me.
My grandmother Dee Dee, kids and I on Mother's day.
Jude planted me this 4 o'clock that actually bloomed. He was so proud! I love it!
I love this sweet face!
I don't just love crafting so we are sure to get pictures of it when it happens! Jude made this whateveritis.
Another day, another doctor. This time it was an orthopedic surgeon that was an idiot. His exact words to me were, "just ignore it" about a back problem Jude is having. Three words you NEVER tell a mother of a child who has had cancer. A+ doc. (dripping with sarcasm)
And finally our Happy Last Day of School!!! We survived our first year of homeschooling! And we actually loved it.
First and last day of school. What a wonderful school year we had. It was not without challenges but I feel like we made the right choice to homeschool and we all enjoyed it and look forward to next year.
My sweet little princess!
JUNE
Well, Katy Jane loves Jett. That's nothing new. She loves him a lot.
A whole whole lot.
We are loving the summertime and having fun with our friends.
And June means VBS!
We love us some VBS!
This was our class.
Katy Jane got to go listen to the music like the big kids.
Mostly she just loved the snacks.
Happy 3rd birthday to Katy Jane on June 21st!
Sweet Nana and Papa!
Another lost tooth and another visit from the tooth fairy.
Father's Day!
To Brad...
To Papa...
A full row on Father's day at church.
I love my sweet Daddy so much!
Sassy pants.
Happy 3rd birthday to Jett. It's true love.
Look at these cuties in their dino tails.
JULY
Happy 4th of July!
Grown men acting like little boys...blowing stuff up with fireworks. I guess some things never get old.
We were able to see the fireworks from our front yard.
Jude is not a big fan of sparklers. Can you tell?
Laying under the stars, waiting for the fireworks with my sweet boys.
Our summer is off to a wonderful start!
