The Tooth Fairy

James lost his first tooth on March 15, 2015!  The same tooth that made it's first appearance on June 15, 2009.  I was so excited when that sweet little tooth first poked it's way through.  And I was excited for James when it finally started to get wiggly.

James was excited to find a tiny little letter left by Analise, the tooth fairy, a sparkly dollar, plus and extra quarter since it was his first tooth, a tiny jar of her magic fairy dust, and a certificate that she somehow, mysteriously was able to get his picture off of my cellphone to use on the certificate.  I explained that fairies are very technologically savvy and she must have seen my phone by my bed and gotten the picture from it. Oy.

We don't do Santa or the Easter Bunny so this was a BIG stretch for me.  Analise may go into retirement before any more teeth come loose in this house.

The conversation the next morning went like this...
James: How did the tooth fairy get in the house?
Me: She came in the window.
James: How did she raise the window if she's so tiny?
Me: Fairies are very strong?
James: How did she get all this stuff in?
Me: She carries a backpack.
James: Will I still be able to use this dollar will the fairy glitter on it?
Me: Yes
James: You told me before that magic isn't real that only miracles are real and only Jesus does miracles.
Me: The tooth fairy works for Jesus.
James: She lives in Heaven?
Me: Yes
James:Her letter said that she is saving my tooth in her collection.  That's a little weird to have a tooth collection.
Me: Yes it is but let's not judge.

Too. Much. Trouble.  If I see Analise I'm going for the fly swatter.
But it made one little boy very happy.  So maybe it was worth it.  But how many baby teeth are there???

James had some pretty serious questions in his mind about the tooth fairy, doesn’t he? Haha! Anyway, it seems to me that that tooth was kind of special for you guys, and I think the tooth fairy did great in giving that extra quarter. Thanks for sharing this with us. Have a great day!

It is nice that James had a lot of questions about the tooth fairy, because asking about things shows a child’s interest in something. Anyway, how are his gums doing nowadays? I hope the adult tooth has already started growing out. Thanks for sharing this with us. All the best!
