How was your Christmas? Ours was good and busy. We finished up our baking with Brad's help! What a sport!
And we made another batch of gingerbread men because the boys wanted to decorate more.
And so did I.
I think this looks like three guilty babies sneaking some cookies!
Christmas Eve we got to spend the day with Mom and Dad. It was so fun! We relaxed, worked on a puzzle, and had a great day. We even sang Happy Birthday to Jesus.
Brad and I came home to put together one of the boys Christmas presents. New beds!
They loved them!
Is there anything better than Christmas morning? I just love it. The boys woke us up at 5:00. Katy Jane insisted on having her milk first. With her wonky bedhead and all.
Still working on the milk. But her brother's forced her into the living room. She's for reals about her milk. I feel that way about my coffee.
So does Brad.
Finally we went over to Mom and Dad's for some more Christmasing!
My precious Mommy!
My sweet Daddy!
Uncle Andy and James.
Katy Jane had a little explaining to do. She might be on next year's naughty list. But at least she managed to wear 3 new presents all at once...a new apron that Nana made, a new necklace and a new tutu. Skills.
Aunt Care Care to the rescue!
My niece Madison drew a picture of Katy Jane that brought tears to my eyes. I love it! So beautiful and so perfectly Katy Jane!
Morgan, Madison and Jude.
Nana and her namesake.
My two favorite girls!
We got Katy Jane a "vintage" cabbage patch doll. Vintage like from when I was little. It hurts my heart a little. People in the toy industry are just rude. But vintage or not...her head still has that fabulous cabbage patch doll smell. Someone should make a candle of that smell. I'd buy it.
The boys new ring toss game quickly became a sunshine mask.
My Jamesie and his Nanapie! He loves her so.
And apparently, Katy Jane loves popcorn. She looks very serious about it.
Somehow she even talked her sweet Uncle Andy into painting her little piggies.
Unfortunately they are all coughing and sick tonight. We spent a large part of this Christmas weekend listening to the hum of the nebulizer as the kids did breathing treatments. I'm thankful for a doctor in the family. Hopefully they will all be better soon. My other sister and her sweet family are coming into town on the 1st. I've got to get these kids healthy and well for a big dose of cousin fun!
I know he's sick if he falls asleep in the car. Poor baby!
I sure love these sweet babies! Their sweet innocence and joy make all
of the hustle and bustle worth it all. The holidays always seem to bring
a little measure of stress along with it. No matter how desperately we
try to keep our focus on the right things, sometimes...the stress of
trying to make things just right gets the better of me. Tonight Brad
and I were talking about our favorite part of this Christmas. Having 3
little ones who are filled with so much joy and excitement, it's hard to
have just one favorite part. I guess I had three favorite
parts...James, Jude and Katy Jane.

I think Jude's favorite present was his new fireman jacket.
