Ready For Spring

The weather here has been so beautiful lately!  We have been loving every second.  Our days always seem to go a little more smoothly when the kids can burn off some energy outside and we can all get some fresh air.

Katy Jane is working hard practicing for her ballet recital in a couple of months.  I cannot wait!

Those rigorous practices leave her famished and needing a big snack.  Or a cheeseburger.

It is safe to say these sweet boys love their baby sister.

Jude is continuing to love his guitar lessons!  I am so proud of him.

My sunshine.

My Judie Bug has had a very rough week.  It started with him getting sick one morning.  Sweet James and Katy Jane rushed around to fix him up a cozy spot on the couch so he wouldn't have to be lonely in his room.

After he recovered from that he was playing in the back yard and got a big splinter jammed up under his thumbnail.  It was bleeding and obviously very painful but I was surprised that it needed a trip to the ER.  So that was about 2 of the most deafening hours of screaming that I'll never get back.  Poor baby.  They had to deaden his thumb and then dig it out.  Even the doctor was surprised at the size of the splinter.  It was like a little wedge of wood.  Ouch!!!

 

Then after recovering from THAT...he was playing tag outside with James and ran straight into a tree and scraped up himself from head to toe....literally.  The whole side of his beautiful little face, his hands, his legs and even his feet.  It was quite the collision.  My poor sweet Jude.  I'm going to bubble wrap him and start wearing him in the baby sling again.

James decided to teach his Daddy to play one of his songs.  I think you can tell by James' posture how that went. 

After Jude's rough night in the ER we decided a trip to get ice cream was much needed for everyone.

Ballet is hard to do when you won't put down your blanket. 

She finally let it go.  These little girls are so precious.  I love this ballet class.

Brad and the kids had several races at the park yesterday.  Their energy amazes me.  And makes me jealous.

It was so windy!  You can tell because Katy Jane's pig tails are blowing forward while she's running. 

Jude's favorite cinnamon "wolls" at one of our favorite breakfast restaurants.  The boys call it the "Pickle Jar Place".
