What's In A Homeschool Week

We are so blessed to have an amazing group of close friends that we can do this homeschool life with.  It makes it that much more fun. Haba Fellow Pegging is fun for the littles. We got our first Kiwi Crate and the kids loved it!  I loved that I didn't have to plan a craft and everything came adorably packaged and ready to go.     Another fun activity was our Little Passports for geography.  The kids loved it and so did I!  I love when learning is bright and fun and doesn't feel like work. Katy Jane takes her studies very seriously.  This little girl is a delight! A quick visit with our sweet Dr. Honey for well-checks. Brad had an awesome idea to have the kids write letters and color pictures for our police officers.  He even took them to the police department and they had a little impromptu field trip.  Best homeschool Dad ever!       We love our homeschool life!

Bible Presentation Sunday

Sunday Dr. Batson presented the 1st graders with their new bibles.  It was such a special time.  I am so grateful to belong to a church that takes the spiritual growth and nurturing of our children so seriously.  We are so blessed. Happy 5th Birthday Jude!

Happy 5th birthday to our sweet Judie Bug!  We love you so much!  You are a precious blessing and we thank the Lord for you over and over.  Decorating the birthday cake Nana, Papa, James, Jude & Katy Jane   Papa and Jude in their matching boots.         Making his birthday cake.

Homeschool 2015-2016

We start back to (home)school tomorrow and we are so excited!  The kids have seen the new big boxes packed full of our exciting new curriculum rolling in and are ready to dive in!  So am I!  I love doing school with the kids.  It suits our life and personalities so well.  It is a blessing to get to do life this way. I started getting organized and getting the homeschool room prepped a few weeks ago.  At the end of the last school year I took everything down and put everything out of sight and away so the kids (and I) would have a real break from "school". So I had a lot to do to get everything back in shape. It's gotta get worse before it can get better Yay for the first big shipment from Timberdoodle and CBD ! A few shipments in between...and then finally our last shipment from Sonlight ! (I don't even have any earthly idea what is going on with KJ in this picture.  She looks like a feral jungle child.  Gaw.  "Yep....that's what h...
