James & Jude Go To BSF

Today was James and Jude's first day to go to BSF!  I was so excited!  While the other children decorated a heart/craft/sortofthing...James decorated Puppy. But after a very long day that started very early...both boys were ready for bed early.  And so am I.  Nite nite.

Reach Out And Touch Someone

James LOVES to talk on the phone.  Loves it.  Any time I talk on the phone he asks if he can talk to whoever it is.  And I am sorry if you are ever on the receiving end of that conversation.  Because it no doubt goes a little something like this... Jude did a little time in the bouncy this morning...or as James calls it...the "betsy".  He has trouble staying centered.  I love that it was warm enough today for Jude to hang out in a onesie. Apparently he was exhausted from too much betsy.

He's Got Moves

This video of James dancing makes me happy...especially the part where he checks himself out in the reflection on the oven door...about 3 seconds into it. And here are the flowers that Brad James and Jude got me for Valentine's day. Sweet boys. At our first house we planted a Marie Pavie rose bush that my sister gave me and it got to be huge! I loved it. I could smell it as soon as I opened the back door. And it would bloom several times a year. So I was so happy when Jamesie came in while I was cooking dinner with this in his little arms. I love my sweet little Valentine's!

Kristy Kelly Designs

James got his new apron in the mail today from my friend Kristi Kelly !  I love it! And so does he!  One of the great things about this apron...besides it's manly super-cuteness and big pockets...is that it is adjustable.  I couldn't tell that from the pictures of it.  The tie part that goes around his neck and ties in the back slides through the side part...so hard to explain....but that's what makes it adjustable.  It's a good thing.  He will be able to wear it while he helps me in the kitchen for a long time.   Do you want to order one for your little sous-chef?  Here is a link to Kristi's blog ... And a link to her etsy store .

Happy Birthday Marva!

First and most importantly...Happy birthday to my sweet mother-in-law Marva! I love you! Thank you for being such a wonderful mother-in-law, mother, grandmother and friend. You are a blessing to us. This morning I made Jude's first batch of baby food! Sweet potatoes! Yall...he LOVED them. And I pray this child inherited my eating habits and not Brad's food snobbishness. James is a little mini Brad...looks like him, built like him, acts like him and eats like him. Jude wasted no time gobbling down his sweet potatoes. I feel sure that if he could have, he would have asked for some more please. Tonight Stan and Marva came over so we could celebrate her birthday. James celebrated the cupcakes.   Hands-free of course. Totally the product of two type-a's.   He can't stand dirty hands. Or dusty tables. He loves to dust.  And I love that he loves to dust. I really took this picture to show my sister how he loves the muff-muffs she sent him. They are big boy ...

James & Addi Through The Years...All 2 Of Them

Today was a great Saturday! My favorite sister-in-law, Karin came into town with her little angel girls Addi and Lauren and we went to see them at Brad's parent's house.  James was in HEAVEN!  He loves Addi so much!  And they are so cute together.  I don't know why, but when they get together their favorite thing is to get into this tub. They've always been like this though...since they were little tiny...they loved being in confined spaces together. Today something got their funny bone and they couldn't stop laughing. Then Addi was concerned because she thought James was crying...he was just laughing though.  She is so sweet!

Dadgum Bright Flash

Today I wanted to take this picture of Jude sleeping with his fingers all tangled up in his blankie. But my flash woke him up. Smiling. Later James decided to put all of Jude's toy into his bed for him. Don't worry...Jude wasn't in there at the time.
