Toypocalypse

The wind is blowing about 52,000 miles per hour here in A-town and I think it is making my kids sort of crazy. How else could this be explained? It looks like his toy closet vomited. He tried to dazzle me with the offer of a spider man but I can't be bought. Especially when I realized his mayhem spilled over into the living room. Lord, help me.

Black And Whites

When James was one month old I had some black and white pictures taken of us that are some of my favorite pictures. One of them is behind the title of my blog. Today my niece, Madison took some of Jude and I to match. Below are the ones of James from two years ago. My boys look so different.

Family Weenkend

This was a great weekend! It was so nice to have my sister and nieces in town. Brad and I LOVE to have our family around. Me and my sweet Daddy. Me and my sweet Hubby. We had some friends over this afternoon to meet Jude and had a great visit with them. Tonight my good friend Bill came over and we all went to dinner. He recently moved back to Nashville and I haven't seen him for a long time. It was great to catch up... ...Great until James snorted his Sprite up his nose through his straw at dinner. Bill, never one to ooze compassion, laughed at the poor baby. Amazing that the man is still single.

James aka Evel Knievel

So not a lot to report on today. The fam went to see my Dee Dee in Lubbock and me and my brat kids got left behind like we aren't the life of the party or something. Can't imagine. James likes to jump from the coffee table to the couch because he's a boy and I am lacking in the proper parenting skills to keep him from doing such things. But the great thing is that right before he jumps he sucks in all of his breath like he is about to do the most amazing death defying stunt you've ever been lucky enough to see. He knows how to get the party started. Jude knows how to shut the party down. He just lays around and looks cute. Except for when he does this. He has some powerful sucking action. My niece Morgan is holding him and my Mom, sister, other niece and I are making fun of him trying to get his binkie. We're cruel like that.

My Precious

My Mother SO raised me better than to take pictures of people while they are on the potty...but he just looked so cute. And it's not like he's really using it for it's intended purpose. He was just chillin there while I got ready. Such a little lover boy. My Aunt Mary-my Mom's sister-made Jude this sweet blankie and I got it today. She made one for James too when he was born. I just love them!

Gutters, Siding, Rain and Sheets

Never in a million years would I have ever thought I would think so much about gutters and siding...much less be this THANKFUL for them. Let me back up. The day that Jude was born we had a massive rain...a flood really. A flood in our living room. I don't do well with rain. It is a long boring irrelevant story that goes back a couple of years but I don't do well with rain. So when I was all laid up in the hospital with another life dependent upon me and fully expecting a non-flooded home to be brought home to, I wanted to freak out, but I couldn't...because, like I said, I was all laid up and there was nothing I could do about it. SO...where in the heck was I going with this? Oh yeh...gutters and siding. So today when it started raining, I didn't get sad or weird like normal...beeeeeccccaaaauuuuusssse...we have new siding and new gutters that keep the aforementioned house flood outside of the house where it belongs. Dry house, dry babies, dry carpet...happy Sn...

The Hiding Place

"James????!!!! James!?!?! Where are you??????" Hiding under the bed. Great. Jude has so much to be stressed out about. But at least he has really sweet feet!
