OKC

We went to visit our friends Miah, Amber, Madi and Sawyer this weekend in Oklahoma City.  We had a great time! Brad and I were both surprised at how well the boys traveled.  Jude made one little peep and of course, our little chatterbox talked non-stop the entire time...going and coming.  But no fussing.  When we got there Brad and Miah put all the kids down and Amber and I went shopping.  When we got home I went to bed and snuggled down between Jude and James.  I was thinking to myself what a sweet blessing it was to have my sweet hubby and two precious boys all sleeping withing arms reach.  Two minutes later I was ready to head for the couch when Jude started talking in his sleep, James started snoring like a freight train and smacking me in the face with his arms and then his legs.  He is as active in his sleep as he is when he is awake.  Needless to say, I didn't get much sleep. The next morning after breakfast, Amber and I headed out...

Deck The Halls

Saturday night we decorated my parents Christmas tree with them. It was such a fun night. I have such sweet memories from my childhood of Christmas tree decorating. My Mom always made it so special for us and now she is making precious memories with my sons. James did a little decorating with his own special flair. Hmmm... I don't know about that. Mom has these little ceramic boots. James has a thing for boots. He loves them. He really could not understand why they wouldn't fit on his fat little feet no matter how hard he tried to cram them in there. Even the bigger one wouldn't fit! Darn it! This picture clearly proves that I am Daddy's favorite. Sorry sisters...pictures don't lie. Well, maybe it doesn't prove that. But it's fun to say. When I was little, Dad would put me on his shoulders and I would put the angel on top of the tree. Or that pointy gold thing. What is that thing called?!?! I don't know. At some point, we switched over to an ...

Moving Day 5

So what happened to day 2, 3, and 4? A lot. Here is the stack of boxes before Brad moved them Thursday night. James had a lot of fun playing in the new house while it was still empty. He especially loved playing in the packing paper. You gotta love a kid who can make a game out of anything. Friday, we had part of the kitchen cabinet taken out and cut down to make it fit the new stove. So here's the deal...I hate moving and I hate construction but I love my new house and my new stove, so I'm not complaining. Brad got all of the boxes and not-massive-furniture moved to the new house. He also moved all the stuff from storage except for 3 big things. Saturday morning Brad had to work. Mom and I worked at the new house and James helped (i.e. got in the way). Brad had asked Chris and Miah to help him after he got off work on Saturday and they actually showed up early and had most of the big furniture loaded up before Brad even got home. Those are some good friends to move you...
