Grandparents Day Thanksgiving Feast

We could not be more pleased with James' pre-school.  His teachers are so precious.  James looks forward to going to school and loves doing his work.  After being sick all last week, when he went back Tuesday he went up to his teacher Mrs. Sherrie, held her hand and said, "I love you."  That is music to a mommies ears.  Today the school had a Grandparents Day Thanksgiving Feast.  Both Nana and Papa got to go with James.  James was beside himself with excitement.  He has talked about it for 2 weeks.  Last night he planned out his clothes because he wanted to dress just like Papa.  This morning I thought he was going to burst with excitement. James x 2  Mrs. Sherrie made special projects for the grandparents to take home.  She's so amazing.     It was a very special day and I'm so glad that James got to share it with his Nana and Papa.

Sick Of Being Sick

I'm hoping that we are getting all of the sickness out of the way before Thanksgiving.  After James was sick all last week, Jude and Katy Jane are sick now.  So tired of my babies being sick. At least it makes him happy to get a sucker from Dr. Honey. Sunday we celebrated my birthday at Mom's.  She made me a delicious meal and birthday cake.  It was all wonderful.  Mom makes everything so special.  China, crystal, roses, gifts...I'm spoiled. Even Katy Jane got a special adorable birdie sippy cup.  So cute!  She loves to sit and watch Nana cook. My boys brought me my delicious Cocoa Pound Cake.  YUM! A little help with the candles. I'm so grateful for my precious parents. Tomorrow is "Grandparent's Day" at James' school.  He is SO excited because Nana and Papa will be going to school with him. He has talked about it all week.  I will stay home with the littles and try to get everyone better before Thanksgiving.   My prec

Super Nana

This has been one of those weeks of motherhood where you wish you could take the week off.  It's been a tough one.  James and Katy Jane have been sick. That pretty much took over the whole week.  All plans had to be cancelled, no school for James, a couple visits to Dr. Honey, and just an overall crummy week. James had to get two shots and a trip to the hospital for an x-ray and labs.  He was so brave.  I was so proud of my big boy. Mom and Dad came and took Jude for me so I could focus on my two little sick ones.  He had so much fun having special time with Nana and Papa.  I should've warned Papa that the Little Debbie display is a dangerous place to take my children.  I bet you Jude had that tiny cart loaded up with goodies. He told Mom that his ice cream was "nummy".   I'm making a strong push towards getting Jude potty trained.  I hate potty training.  I'm really bad at it too.  James is doing far better at potty training Jude than I am.  But

Decorating For Christmas

We decorated for Christmas over the weekend.  It is mine and Brad's favorite thing to do.  The kids love it too.  We turn on Christmas music, pour egg nog...or "Christmas milk" as James calls it, build a fire and start decorating. Egg nog in their Christmas mugs   They had to take a break from decorating to warm their piggies by the fire. Unfortunately Katy Jane had to take a nap during the majority of the decorating (that was sort of on purpose because, yeh, she's 1 and into everything.  In a very destructive way).  But when she woke up we were excited to show her the Christmas tree.  She didn't know what to think at first and approached cautiously. Making sure it was ok with Mommy.  She has a nasty little habit of breaking things that are sparkly and glass and then she gets in trouble. It's a go.   She wasn't sure what to think. She was massively confused as to why there was a big sparkly tree in the living room that was n
