Halloween

James had a Halloween party at school yesterday.  He was Woody.  And a pretty darn cute one, too! All geared up and ready to ride.  Yeehaw! And then Woody the cowboy fell in love with Strawberry Shortcake and they lived happily ever after.  We love our sweet Zintha. Woody and Cinderella aka Cousin Addison. James' table at school getting high on sugar.  After his school party we went by to see Nana and James had to show her all the pics.   Today started out with an all-too-regular visit to Dr. Honey's office.  This is our sweet nurse Raine.  She was the Queen of Hearts.  Obviously.  James and Jude were (once again) Woody and Buzz Lightyear.     For tonight's trick-or-treating I let Jude pick out his own costume from about 5 or so.  This is how a Texas boy does Spidey.  That's my boy! Katy Jane hasn't embraced the whole costume thing yet. Ok...there we go.  What a precious little flower. James had a little fun time with his Nana today

James-O-Lantern

The other day Brad saw a "recipe" for pumpkin seeds.  So he went and got a big pumpkin so we could make some and in the process ended up making a jack-o-lantern with Jamesie.   Ummm...yuk.  James didn't like the pumpkin guts. There...that's better. After they got it carved they set it out front with a little candle in it.  James had to light it even though it was in the middle of the day. My little pumpkin with his pumpkins. The pumpkin-carvers.   All of that work for just this many pumpkin seeds.  So much easier to go buy a bag of them at the grocery store. After all of that gooey work James needed a long soak. Little miss Katy Jane is just as adorable as ever.  I just wish she would grow enough hair so that I could do something with it besides the cupie doll curl. She doesn't mind it though. After we dropped James off at school the other day we went to breakfast at our favorite breakfast place.  Jude loves the cinnamon rolls.

The Latest

Life is busy with three kids.  Not with anything crazy though.  Just busy.  This post is full of randomness and has no order to it.  Sorry about that. James and Katy Jane had their 4 year and 4 month well checks today.  That was exciting.  6 shots total and lots of screaming and crying.  Jude got a rare day off from doctors. Both James and Katy Jane are in the 25th percentile for weight, and James is in the 75th for height, and Katy Jane is in the 50th. We took the kids to the pumpkin patch after our appointment with Dr. Honey.  We have gone to this same pumpkin patch for 4 years now and the only thing that has changed about the experience is that Brad and I are handling it better.  Here's how it goes: the kid wants a particular pumpkin.  I point out a prettier one.  An argument ensues.  I win.  We make them sit on the hay bales for a picture.  They hate it because its pokey.  Whoever the infant is at the time risks his or her life balancing precariously on the pokey hay.  I
